The three Skopje salons checked publish a small-dog full groom at MKD 1,500 or MKD 1,600 per treatment. These are local examples, not a market average. Compare the same services and confirm your dog's quote and possible extra charges before booking.
Price lists checked on 11 October 2026. These are examples from three Skopje salons, not a North Macedonia market average. The pages do not show a clear price-effective date. Confirm the final amount and your dog's size category with the salon.
How much does a full dog groom cost in Skopje?
This table compares published packages with a haircut. It does not compare a bath-only appointment with a full groom, and each salon defines its size categories. If your dog falls between two categories, send its weight and a photograph instead of choosing the cheaper column yourself.
A price difference is a starting point for a conversation. Ask what result you will receive, how much time is allowed and what could change the amount. Neither the lowest nor the highest price tells you, by itself, which salon suits your dog.

Is a bath the same service as a full groom?
No. Ask for the haircut to be explicitly included in the quote. Tidying paws or the hygiene area does not necessarily mean shaping the entire coat. Names such as basic, complete or spa are not enough without a list of services.
Describe the result you want: bathing and drying, keeping the current length, a short haircut or a particular style. If you send an inspiration photograph, ask whether that result is achievable with the coat's current condition. This gives two different salons the same request to price.
What could increase the initial quote?
Check whether detangling is included. INU separately publishes MKD 500-1,000 for detangling. Do not add it automatically to every calculation: ask whether it is needed and how it applies to your treatment.
Agree a rule for extra work: the salon should call you with the revised total before proceeding. If the quote is hourly, ask for the estimated time and how a partially used additional hour is charged. If the price starts with 'from', ask exactly what would take it above that starting figure.
- Describe tangles, coat length and any previous difficulties during grooming.
- Check whether special shampoo, styling or a spa addition is optional or included.
- Agree what happens to the charge if the full treatment cannot be completed.
How do you request quotes you can actually compare?
Send the same short description to two or three salons with suitable locations. A recent photograph of the whole dog and its coat can help the groomer understand the request. A photograph does not guarantee a final assessment, so ask whether the price is confirmed on arrival.
You can use this message: 'Hello, I would like an appointment for a [weight] kg dog, [breed or description], with [coat length and condition]. I want [treatment/style]. When are you available, what exactly is included, what is the estimated total and which extra charges are possible? Please call me before adding another service.'
Keep the replies together. If one salon gives only a number while another explains the services, request the missing list before deciding. Comparable quotes make it easier to see differences in the service, rather than only differences in the price.
How can you plan a budget without inventing an average price?
Multiply your confirmed price per visit by the number of visits you plan. Then add only expenses you actually expect: transport, agreed extras or appointments between full grooms.
Illustrative calculation: if your confirmed quote is MKD 1,800 and you plan six visits a year, the total is MKD 10,800 a year, or MKD 900 set aside each month for those appointments. The amount and number of visits are assumptions for this calculation, not a market average or a recommended schedule for every dog.
Discuss timing with your groomer for the coat and service involved. Do not compare just one visit if you already know that one option will require additional appointments. Record these separately so you do not count them twice.
Which practical terms should you confirm before booking?
Check the payment method. Barki, for example, states on its website that payment is cash only. Do not assume every salon accepts cards because it has a website or communicates online.
Ask about a deposit, cancellation notice, rescheduling and late collection. These are questions to check, not a claim that every salon charges these fees. Also agree the approximate duration, who will tell you when your dog is ready and whether you need to remain reachable by phone.

Open Fluffinn's Skopje groomer category and shortlist salons you can realistically reach. Check their contact details and send the same description of your dog. Choose once you have a clear service, an estimated total and a rule for approving extras.
When you book, keep the confirmation in your messages. For the visit itself, read our guide to a first grooming appointment. This price guide helps you understand the quote; preparing for the appointment is the next step.
Your quick checklist
- Send your dog's weight, coat description and a recent photograph.
- Request the included services, not just a package name.
- Confirm the size category and estimated total.
- Agree a call before any extra charge.
- Check payment, cancellation and collection arrangements.
- Keep the written quote before booking.
Frequently asked questions
Does a bath include a haircut?
Do not assume so. Ask for a haircut or whole-coat styling to be explicitly included. Tidying the paws and hygiene area can be a different package.
Why is there no single exact price for my dog's breed?
A breed name alone does not describe the whole request. Send the dog's weight, current coat condition and desired treatment. Ask the salon to choose the appropriate category before accepting the quote.
Is the published price guaranteed for my dog?
Confirm it directly. The table contains local examples checked on 11 October 2026, but the pages do not show a clear price-effective date. Also ask whether the estimate changes after the coat is assessed.
What if there is an extra charge I did not expect?
Before the appointment, agree that the salon will contact you about extra work, its reason and the revised total. Keep the original quote so you can easily compare it with what was agreed.
Does a lower price automatically mean a better choice?
No. Compare the same services, rules for extras, availability and communication. A lower starting price for a different package does not tell you which quote costs less for the treatment you actually want.
